Christmas came early this year. Today the long awaiting UP wristband by Jawbone came flying into the mailbox. The UP wristband is a tool to track how much you move, sleep and how you feel after eating. It even wakes you up when you sleep the lightest by vibrating the wristband, similar to the app Sleep Cycle. If you’ve been inactive for too long the wristband reminds you to move by vibrating.  The wristband is accompanied by an iPhone app that lets you watch your progress. You can team up with friends to watch their progress and take on challenges to push yourself.  From a marketing perspective I love the opportunity for brands to create challenges that motivate people to live healthier.  So far it’s been great fun and I look forward to get UP and get healthier.
